Lead Partner Seminar - event report
The fourth call Lead Partner Seminar took place in Copenhagen, Denmark on 23 January 2012. The staff of the Joint Technical Secretariat and the four Information Points welcomed 173 participants, including representatives of all 82 fourth call projects approved under conditions in December 2011. 12 January 2012 - CLUSTERIX Project Coordination Support
The INTERREG IVC project CLUSTERIX is seeking to contract an external project coordinator for their project, beginning as soon as possible and until 31 December 2014. Deadline for submitting offers is 31 January 2012.
Innovation and the knowledge economy
Under this priority INTERREG IVC supports projects that contribute to :
- Improving the capacity of regions for strengthening research, technology and innovation ;
- Promoting and enabling entrepreneurship and the development of new business initiatives in all sectors of relevance to regional economies, in particular those that are knowledge-based and innovative ;
- Facilitating businesses, and in particular SMEs, to develop and grow in a more sustainable and innovative way through transfer of specific services and the creation of shared facilities ;
- Helping to restructure regions most heavily dependent on traditional industries, including renewal of industrial zones for new business ;
- Promoting the use of new information and communication technologies by businesses, public services and the general public, esp. in rural areas ;
- Improving regional policies for employment, skills development, training and education ;
- Creating the necessary framework conditions for regional economies to adapt to major socio-economic changes, notably globalization and demographic change.
Running INTERREG IVC projects under Priority 1 “Innovation and the knowledge economy” address one of the following sub-themes (thematic sub-objectives under a given programme priority) :
